As Kami continued to struggle with keeping the bookshelf righted, he began thinking that perhaps Jules wasn’t going to get him down. Not that that actually came as much surprise since the taller teen had put him up there in the first place, but still he had guessed there was at least a small chance he would have went back on his decision. How very small indeed. He thought to himself as his hands clutched the edges of the shelf. It was definitely not something used to holding the weight of a human, even one as small as Kami. It’s going to fall if I don’t get off of it soon. He realized a moment behind those thoughts before his gaze traveled back to the cause of his plight, only to see him holding his chin in a studious manner as he looked at both the bookshelf and Kami himself. This slightly unnerved Kami because just what was it that Jules was planning to do? Surely, he wasn’t going to try and make things worse.
That thought was countered a moment later as he felt the vibrations of something hitting the bookshelf and he only had a moment of time to see the cause for it: Jules’s boot. Kami’s eyes glared even more so at Jules, but the look quickly changed to that of worry as the shelf lurched back and forth, him moving his body opposite to it trying to get it back steady. It was a fruitless effort of course. The bookshelf was going to fall whether he liked it or not. Oh, shit. That was the thought that traveled through his brain as the shelf finally gave way and fell. He scrambled for some form of holdings, but the only thing he could grasp was unsteady and thus he wasn’t quite able to catch himself or get his legs under him before crashing to the floor with the shelf. Luckily he managed to get out of the way of the heavy object, so it didn’t fall a top him and crush him as it would have.
His hands went out to catch his weight so he didn’t fall flat on his face when he hit the ground, but as one of his hands connected with the hard floor a split second before the other and therefore took the most weight. Pain shot up that particular hand as well as the wrist and arm connected to it. He groaned in pain at it and just laid there on the floor for a bit, only dimly hearing the librarian. After a few moments though, despite the pain, he was reminded of the cause of what happened and pulled himself to his feet, turning his still angered gaze on Jules even as he clutched to the injured wrist with the opposite hand. “I said get me down not knock me down!” He hissed angrily, gripping his hand tightly in an effort to subside the pain. Just as he was about to start telling the other off though, he felt a hand come down to his wrist and he shot his gaze in the direction it came from. It was the librarian and as such he jerked his hand from her grasp and glared. “Don’t touch it.” He growled and at such the librarian backed up a bit, realizing his want for space.
Kami still held onto the injured limb as he turned back to Jules. There were so many spiteful things he wanted to say, but none came to his tongue. Instead he just settled for looking at him for a moment before looking around at the people who had gathered in their curiosity as to the situation. He felt heat flood to his cheeks in embarrassment at how pathetic he probably looked and since he hadn’t heard Jules’s description of what had happened, he didn’t know to correct it, thus making him look stupid to most onlookers. Some, at seeing he was generally alright, laughed and rightfully so. Kami knew he would laugh as well if he had happened upon something like this. This didn’t stop his bubbling anger and embarrassment though and soon he found himself picking up the book he’d been trying to get, with his uninjured hand, and throwing it forcefully at Jules, hoping to connect with some part of his body, before he began walking off, unmindful of the librarian following and trying to assist him.
His wrist and hand both throbbed insistently with pain and he had to grit his teeth against it. Some portions of his torso hurt as well, but they felt nothing like the pain coming from his injured limb. At worst, the small pains in his sides would become bruises, but his wrist ran the likelihood of being broken or at least sprained. Thinking about this, he went and seated himself at one of the tables nearby, resting his hands in his lap and putting his head on the table, shutting his eyes so he wouldn’t have to see if people were still watching him or if Jules decided to get him back for chucking the book at him. Not that he really cared about the latter at the moment. After all, what should he care how Jules felt after a book had been thrown at him? Hell, he’d just been toppled over with a bookshelf due to him. Dammit, I’m never asking anyone for help again. He cursed to himself in his mind, among other, more colorful, phrases aimed at both his pain and at the cause of it.

- Minoru Takanori (Younger Triplet Brother)

Appearance:
When it comes to looks, Aku is quite the contrast to what most people who assume a werecreature to look like. His appearance is quite feminine and clean, unlike the thoughts of hairy werecreaturess humans are used to reading about or hearing about. His skin is mostly pale in tone, but also has a bit of a natural tan due to his heritage. Upon his skin, there are few scars because he’s never been one to get into fights, but the most easily seen is the one right under his chin on the upper portion of his neck. This was caused by a play fight gone wrong between him and another kitten when he was younger and the other kitten had latched onto him playfully, but their jaw had locked up and other werecats had to pull the other off, taking some of Aku’s skin with him.
As far as body types go, Aku is definitely not masculine, just like his triplet brothers. All three were born with slight feminine curves and framing. It was something that would have gotten them made fun of over the years by their own kind had they not been the sons of a powerful and well-known werecat. Not that Aku would have minded all that much, though. He enjoys his looks and wouldn’t change a thing about them even if he could. He believes his looks make it easier for him to get along with humans and incorporate into their society better, even if looking as he does is not typical for humans. It’s better than a lot of werecreatures of legend, with all their excess hair, huge muscles, and “I want to kill you” air about them.
Being the oldest, one might think that Aku would be the tallest out of his siblings. That’s not the case however because he’s actually in the middle for height, standing at a neutral 5’ 10”. It’s what always gets the two older triplets confused with each other by people who don’t know them as well. Aku doesn’t mind being mistook for the middle child, though, and rather wishes he was indeed the second-born and not the first-born. Aside from that though, like his brothers, Aku has beautiful ebony hair and deep brown eyes. Aku's ebony bangs always hang over his left eye, much like his youngest brother's does. His eyes are always sparkling with happiness unless he is in the presence of his father. Then they are completely expressionless because that’s how his father always told him to be. While Aku doesn’t exercise this out of his father’s supervision, he does take heed to do it while under his supervision.
For clothes, Aku's appearance can be very diverse. One day he may want to just wear a simple t-shirt and jeans while the next he'll be wearing straps and bondage-type clothing. He has no set style and is likely to never get one. He's especially fond of jewelry though and has gotten his lower lip pierced as well as his ears and belly-button. You will always see him wearing some form of jewelry, whether it be some necklace, earring or any kind of piercing ring, collar, bracelet, or chain. He loves any and all kinds of it. His favorite perhaps would have to be things of the silver nature. Kind of odd for a werecat, but still, it's just how he is. Gold has just never appealed to him as much as silver, though he really isn't sure why. He guesses it's just because it doesn't look as good on him as silver does.
In his cat form Aku is really nothing too special, save for the fact his jewelry remains on him even after the transformation, which is actually pretty neat looking when you factor in his piercings. Other than that, his fur is solid black in color and he has glowing golden eyes. Somehow his coat always has a shine to it and makes him look like he has messed with it and fussed over it too much, which in all truth is probably the case. Either he licks it too much or his best friend does. Just like his hair when in human form. As for his height in this form, like all werecats he's like an over-sized domestic cat with longer front toes that resemble fingers along with longer claws on both front and back paws as well as longer upper fangs that hang out over his bottom lip.

History:
Born as the first of three on the night of Halloween, it was easy to see that Akumukou and his brothers would be regarded highly in their society. Not many are born on that particular night and it is said in their small group of black felines that those born on that night are destined to be great leaders or make great changes in their time. Aku doubts now that this is really the case and as such doubts the ways of his people a lot of time, but this is more of a personal view than what's actually happening. Aku and his brothers are indeed making quite a change in the views of his people towards those who are half-blooded.
The three kittens were lavished with attention throughout their life and this is the cause for great love of affection and the need for closeness in Aku. They were all cared for by both the denmother and by their own mother as well as any other females whose maternal instinct would not let them turn away the children when they would ask to play or needed supervision. This was how the three boys came to be so closely bonded with their fellow felines. Usually one or more of the kittens would end up being shunned by the group as a whole due to the survival of the fittest rule, but that was not the case with these young boys. Perhaps they were spoiled, but you try telling that to the face of any female who cared for them over the years. Every single one will defend the boys to the hilt.
As they started growing up, all three developed different personalities, wants, and needs. Akumukou was mainly all for attention and affection. He didn't try and get attention all the time, but it was what kept him going. While Takashi thrived more on pulling pranks and Minoru preferred reading or hiding alone. Aku's nature of being as nice and kind as he is develops from this as well as his knowing of the fact that he's replacable. Some kittens were jealous of the trio of Halloween-born kittens and seeked to bully them whenever they could. One kitten in particular aimed for Aku and made him find out just how easily he could be replaced in group dynamic should something happen to him.
The older pup always told him that since he had two younger brothers, should something happen to him they could take his place in a blink of an eye. That he had no signifigance within the group as he had previously thought. This caused major depressive thoughts to erupt in his mind as well as caused his self-esteem to lower greatly. For awhile he shunned all affection and would just go and be by himself. This caused his family great distress because they knew the oldest kitten was always someone so in tune and loving of being lavished with small gestures. They couldn't do anything about it though and just left the pup to his brooding.
This is when Aku befriended his current best friend, Vance. The young boy had had a pretty bad past of his own because his original parents had been killed and he now was the kitten of the entire group, but he he still was patient with Aku and eventually drew him out of his shell and back to being the happy werecat he once was. The two immediately formed a close bond after that and are perhaps the two closest, save for mates, members of the group. When you see one, you see the other. Aku's parents noticed this and encouraged the interaction of the two boys, believing that with Vance around Aku would stay in good spirits as he had always been previous to his incident.
But soon enough that had to change as Aku's parents thought it best to send him away to the best magic school in the country. As much as he fought with them to allow him to stay with him, they still sent him and his triplet brothers to Valora Academy. Seeing so many faces of kids he doesn't know worried Aku quite a lot because he knew he wouldn't get all the affection he so needed. As such he looked to his brothers for it, but they never showed it to him. Never had ever done so once they developed their own personalities. This left the eldest triplet to start brooding and becoming quiet and somewhat depressive. Still, his parents refuse to let him return until high school is up and while that extremely saddens Aku, he thinks of it as a goal now rather than a sentence and as such does his best in school.
