Welcome to Hell… no, we’re talking in a literal sense here…kind of. This school that you are about to enter is no ordinary school, it is a place where alcoholic, drug addicts, self harmers, suicidal, depressed… etc; Kids are placed when life at home is too much for them. PAPERhearts is a rehabilitation centre where all “bad children” are sent after all other hope has been lost.

You see, it takes an awful lot to corrupt a child’s mind, whether it be through physical abuse or verbal abuse, domestic violence or just your regular school bully, all children that have been corrupted in either or/and all of these ways most probably have thoughts about suicide, become depressed, start taking drugs to qualm their fears, turn to alcohol to solve their problems or self harm to take the pain away.

But this rehabilitation centre for the children is not what it seems, it is hell. The walls are stained with dried blood, there are sharp, pointy objects EVERY where the nurses have a habit of popping up when you least expect it, with gigantic needles trying to pump you full of drugs which make you delirious and see pink elephants that aren’t really there. The doctors are no better really. They’re just as bad.

The conditions in which you live in are relatively clean; the dorm rooms have been “painted red" and everything is ordered chaos. The dorms are small, box type rooms with two beds, two closets and two sets of drawers, the only thing that there is one of is windows and that is in the middle of the far wall. It’s never clean and almost always shattered, so a nice draft comes through in the winter. How lovely.

There’s this one girl that has been here for as long as she could remember, never been treated right, never had any fun, never been kissed and is missing everything that she had in life before it was turned upside down by a pair of idiots that called themselves her parents; her name is Hayley Smith, although no-one is sure as to whether or not Smith is Hayley’s real last name since her parents left her nothing.

This is Hayley’s story;

Hey, my name is Hayley Smith, although I don't really believe that my last name is Smith, but I have been here for too long to really care. I'm seventeen years old and have been residing in PAPERhearts for the past five years, the psychiatrist said there is no hope in me ever getting better because of all the shit that I've been through. My father is a drug lord and my mother a prostitute in case you were wondering. I was born on Christmas day and left to fend for myself at a very young age indeed. When I was older the abuse started - but I wasn't much older, about a year old I suppose.... I can't really remember... I remember hardly anything of my past, it often comes back to haunt me...anywho, as I was saying.. I've been here for the past five years... it's hell here, it really is, but I have to say that I would rather be here then back at home where my father could feed me drugs, my mother could "sell" my body to her "customers" and I could find comfort in alcohol and sharp objects. I've been here for five years and let me tell you how much I hate it here, it's awful and everything is a mess. I hate the nurses, the doctors and a few other people. I want out but unfortunately I'm not allowed out.

This is Catherine's story;

Catherine DeSilva, also known as Cat, daughter to known mob boss Frankie DeSilva (such an original name). Why would someone who's father be sent to a rehab centre? Well, you see, she witnessed the death of her mother, at the hands of another mob boss. Her mother and herself were taken hostage, in order for her father to submit and give up his power. hey were tortured, drugged, and a few of the guys thought they'd have some "fun" with Cat. Oh she put up a good fight, but they liked that. By the time her father rescued them, she wasn't the same girl he once knew. She was withdrawn, afraid to go near any man, and would play with sharp objects. So her father dropped her off here, giving them some money to make sure she was well taken care of.
Yeah, right… Welcome to Hell.

This is Adam McCallister's story;

Ah, welcome to the thoughts of my disturbed mind...I was born on a rather nice day to be honest with you. Halloween day actually. My mother died in childbirth, and nobody knows who my father was. You see, my mother was a whore. My father was most likely some drunk guy. I grew up in the care of my horrid aunt, who made me wear tight stuffy clothes. My shaggy black hair was made to be tidy and slicked back. -shudders- When I got to middle school, I got into alcohol to escape my aunt. I was always drunk, and then I began to get into things called drugs. Pain medications, weed, you name it and I had it. Entering High School -which was barely possible- I got suicidal. I began trying to kill myself, and when I seemed to live after cutting, I began to play those choking games. My Aunt got scared of me, and sent me to this place that we call PAPERhearts. So, heres my rules. Don't touch me, don't touch my weed, don't touch my ANYTHING, and don't touch Hayley or Cat. EVER.
