Mercy had gotten a rather unexpected phone call the day before. It had been rather late at night, but it was important. Her aunt had died. She was going "home" for the funeral which would be taking place early the next morning. It was around seven pm and they were waiting to board the plane that would take them to the city. Then, since Mercy really didn't want to spend time with her parents, the would be staying in a hotel until morning when they would be going to the funeral.
She had at first planned on leaving Jake and Ty at home, but Tyler wouldn't let her go alone. She was somewhat happy about that as he would help to keep her mind off her parents who would be there as well of course. Mercy had been close to he aunt. When her parents had disowned her and sent her away, her aunt had still been there for her.
Mercy had tried to be there for her as well when she had found out she was sick. She couldn't heal her though. There were just certain things you couldn't heal. Mercy was upset and angry that she couldn't have done more. She felt like she should have tried harder.
Mercy was sitting there as they waited to board the plane, holding Jake so he didn't go anywhere and wreak havoc upon the airport. She was wearing a pair of dark jeans and a nice red and black blouse, her jeans tucked into a pair of knee high, black boots. Her hair was down and curly and she looked hot and beutiful as usual. With the exception of her hurt expression and her bloodshot eyes that is. But that was just how things went when you lost someone you loved.
Jacob was resting against her with his head turned to the side, resting against her chest. He was sucking on a binky, his green eyes just kind of searching around the airport. He was in his pajamas so that he would be better off if he fell asleep. They were green and blue footie pajamas.
Mercy was rubbing Jake's back as he rested against her, her chin resting on the top of her head. She had her one leg crossed over the other and was waiting for their flight. She kissed the top of Jakes head, afraid that she would start crying again. It was just hard to believe she would never get to speak to her lively aunt ever again. She had been the only one that knew about Jacob and Tyler for that matter. She hadn't spoken to her parents or sister after all and they had no idea that she was married and had a baby of her own.

Tyler was going along with Mercy for this trip, it was hard enough her aunt died and he was sure her family were just going to make things worse for her. He sat next to her his arm aorund her shoudlers. He knew she was crying and he did his best to try to stop her from doing so, but sometimes you just need to cry. He had been around for her whenever she needed him though. Jake seemed to be relaxing too, he knew he didn't want to make mommy more upset than she already was. Ty was dressed in jeans, black boots and a black dress shirt. He kissed her cheek and tightened his grip on her lightly...

Mercy leaned a little against Ty as his arm tightened around her. She sniffed and blinked back her tears, looking up as their flight was starting to board the plane. She sighed and got up, shifting Jake so that he was on her hip. He held onto her and looked around the airport somewhat tiredly. He put his head down on her shoulder and looked over at one rather woman who was rather large in the boobal area. His binky fell from his mouth and he pointed to the girl, saying only one thing. "Boobies." It was his first word... nice.
Mercy cocked a brow as Jake dropped his binky and was somewhat surprised as he spoke. They were always trying to get him to speak. She heard what he said and her shiny gray eyes darted to Ty, wondering where Jake had ever heard that from. She couldn't be mad though. It was kind of funny and it oddly warmed her heart, making her feel somewhat better. Only somewhat though. Mercy smiled sadly and kissed Jake on the cheek as he was now leaning over and trying to reach for his binky which was well out of reach on the floor.

Ty stopped dead in his tracks as Jake said Boobies. He gulped and saw the look Mercy gave him. He looked down and shied away slightly so he didn't get hit. He then looked down as he saw her bending over. "Wait hun..." He said touchign her shoulder so she'd stand stright up. He bent over and grabbed the binky. He looked at Jake and gave him a quick wink...

Mercy sighed as Ty bent down to grab the binky. She watched as people were boarding the plane and hitched Jake up a bit higher on her hip. "Come on then, lets go..." she said, handing over her ticket and leading Ty onto the plane. She found their seats and sighed, setting Jake down and letting him stand on his own for a little bit so that they could get situated. She put her carry on bag beneath her seat. SHe was taking the window seat. They had a row of three seats to themselves.

Ty followed her quietly the whole way. Watching Jake carefully he waited until Mercy sat down. He sat on the seat on the end so Jake could be in the middle and stay out of trouble. He looked down at him and poked his nose...

Mercy sat down and made sure Jake was buckled in so he didn't go anywhere. She smiled just a little as Ty poked Jake's nose, making him laugh and try swatting away Ty's hand. with a sigh, Mercy got Jake's blanket out from the diaper bag and gave it to him. She cocked a brow as he only took it and started to chew on it and put another binky in his mouth. They were getting ready to take off now and the flight attendent was going over things up in front of the plane. Mercy was feeling a little sick, but figured it was just just her nerves.
~Time Skip~ They had managed to avoid speaking to anybody both before and during the viewing and service. They sat in the last pew to avoid any conflicts as she watched her mother's family grieve. The atmosphere in the room was somber and heavy with mourning. Mercy had cried silently during most of the service. They were now at the graveyard, the priest speaking words that meant little to Mercy and probably just about anyone there. It was raining lightly, the sky a gloomy shade of gray. Mercy was wearing a black dress that clung nicely to her body and looked perfect on her, ending just above her knees. Her dark hair was down and curly and she had on a pair of strappy black heals. She was holding Jake on her hip which helped to comfort her sadness. She was standing close to Ty to and not just because he was the one with the umbrella. Jacob was wearing a black suit and tie. Even then he really did look like his father. He was wearing chiny black dress shoes and looked quite handsome. His green eyes watched the proceedings curiously and intently, swinging his foot every once in a while. He had a binky in his mouth, mostly to keep him quiet during the funeral. The last thing Mercy wasnted was Jake yelling out the word "boobies" for all to hear while the priest spoke. It was the first time Mercy had seen her family in a few years. Once she had been kicked out, she hadn't gone back. There was no way in hell she would crawl back to them. She would let them see what they had thrown away. She caught glimpses from her family every once in a while, but she didn't give a damn for them. Screw them. As Mercy stood there, tears in her eyes, a sudden nauseous feeling overcame her and she had the urge to throw up. She held it back and moved closer to Ty, shivering a bit. She had a slightly sick look on her facem but composed herself somewhat. If she had to throw up... it could hopefully wait till they were ready to leave.

Tyler had been with Mercy, close to Mercy that is... the WHOLE way to the furneral and even during it. He held the black unbrella tightly in his fist as he watched Mercy inch closer to him he found himself almost hovering over her, protecting her. HE wouldn't let her family tease or say anything nasty to her. His green eyes scanned her family as they sobbed and whined. Ty felt sympathy for the women he never met, but he wouldn't show to much, he was more of Mercy's bodyguard. His tux matched his son's and he flt itchy and uncomfortable but he held his stance firm and proud. His hair was tassled like usual and his fiery green eyes caught the glances Mercy's family gave her. He didn't smile or give a nasty look, he just gave a almost warning look. Mercy's family had no idea who he was, but that didn't matter, they should assume he was with Mercy since he was being so close and she had a baby boy in her arms that looked like the man holding the unbrella...

Mercy was comforted by Ty's, rather close, presance. By the time the funeral was over, Mercy was rather relieved. Everyone was starting to file over to their cars, not wanting to linger in the rain any longer then they had to. Mercy had been intent on going back to the hotel and getting some sleep. She had no plans at all to head to her parents house where they would be holding a get together. That is, until her sister approached them.
Mary had not really come over of her own will. Mercy had seen her parents urging her to come over and confront her. But it didn't matter to Mercy. In the few years it had been since Mercy had seen her, Mary had changed greatly. For one... she looked a little slutty.
It was just something you could tell about a girl. Her blac dress was short and a bit revealing and she looked to Mercy as if she were trying to hard to be pretty. Mercy never would have guessed why her sister acted the way she did.
"Mercy," Mary said, coming up to her somewhat shyly, glancing back and giving her parents, who were on their way back to the car, a dirty look. "Umm..." She looked back, her eyes straying to Tyler and a blush creeping up her face. "Hi..."
Mercy frowned and glanced up at Tyer quickly. "Ty, this is my sister, Mary..." she said, trying her best to be civil. She just wanted to leave. "Mary, this is my husband, Tyler." She shifted Jake on her hip and watched as Mary looked over at Ty, still blushing before she seemed to regain some confidence and said "Hi" to him.

Ty saw someone coe up to them and he shifted abit, still behind Mercy but alittle to the side so he could get a better look at the girl. He saw her dress and his brain was registering the same thing Mercy's brain was. He cocked a brow and then saw the dirty look she gave Mercy's parents. He figured it was Mercy's sister and then Mercy said it. HE nodded and watched the girl blush. His brows furrowed the tiniest bit and he answered smoothly, "Hello." He wasn't going to hold out his hand or anything. He just stood tall waiting for the girl to say what she needed to say...

Mary looked at Tyler and gave him a rather charming smile. "Hi," she said to him before turning back to Mercy. "Umm, I think some of us were wondering if... You were planning on coming back to the house for a bit..." She glanced over at Ty, her eyes sliding up and down before they turned back to Mercy.
Mercy glanced over at Ty and then back to Mary, frowning. "We weren't really planning on it," she said, hitching Jake up higher on her hip.
Mary nodded her head. "I think they were kinda... hoping that you would. You know, just to catch up and all. I think they... Umm, feel bad and want to make amends. I don't know,,," She looked over at Ty again, half smiling,

Ty rose one brow as he saw Mary more than once look over in his direction. He shivered just the tinest bit and then looked down at Mercy and Jake. Jake was fiddling with Mercy's hair. Ty only smirked at Jake and then looked up to see Mary half smile at him. Ty's other brow rose and he kinda gave her a smirk, otherwise he was silent. He'd do anythign Mercy wanted to do....

Mercy cocked a wary brow at her sister. She noticed how she kept looking over at her husband, but said nothing about it. She bit her lip as her sister spoke. "We'll think about it..." she said, looking at Jake as he played with her hair.
Mary smiled ever so slightly and nodded her head. "Alright..." she said, backing away. "See you later then..." She nodded her head and Mercy noticed Mary looked back over at Ty, checking him out one last time before she turned around. Mercy couldn't help but think she was swinging her hips a bit too much when she walked.
Mercy sighed and looked back up at Ty. "Well?" she said, unable to decide for herself. It wasn't like she would really need to be with her parents if they went. After all, she did have other family to socialize with. She kissed Jake on top of the head, smiling at the face he made.

Ty smiled lightly to be nice as she turned to leave and then he saw her walk away and he almost rolled his eyes. He heard Mercy and smiled, "Well... what?" he asked cocking a brow. He saw Jake and he let out a small laugh. He waited to hear Mercy's answer but before he could wait any longer he blurted out, "Your sister's a whore isn't she?" he asked and then quickly shut his mouth....

Mercy held back a smile at what Tyler said about her sister. "Either that or she just has the hots for you..." she said, looking back to the retreating back of her sister. Her brows knitted together and she looked back up at him. "But I think there's a strong possibility it could be both." She sighed and shifted Jake to her other hip. "Should we go? Or should we just go back to the hotel?" She was a bit torn. She didn't want to speak to her parents very much, but she did want to speak to the rest of her family.
