Vivienne Valora... wait, no... Scratch that. Vivienne Shaymen was driving home from a visit to her cousin Barbra. It was just begining to get dark out and Viv had been hoping to be out of the city limits before nightfall. After all, she was a pregnant seventeen year old girl traveling alone in the city... You would have been wanted to be out of the city by the time the sun set as well.
She was wearing a pair of dark jeans with a green stretch shirt that ended just below her elbows and her black runners with white stripes on the sides. Her brown hair was down and straight and she quickly brushed it from her face as she leaned forward to change the radio station.
The small bump on her stomach was only just visible but was still able to be passed off as fat. She was nearing the end of her second month of pregnancy and was still almost constantlly sick. It didn't help that her senses seemed to be enhanced. Certain smells made her sick and for some reason high pitched noises as well. She was still able to drive though, thankfully.
Viv let out a sigh as she reached the intersection and was stopped by the red light. She sat back in the driver's seat for a moment, her hands on the steering wheel as she waited for the the light to change. She turned the radio up a bit as a Foo Fighters song came on, a slight frown on her face as she really just wanted to be home by now so she could spend time with Lou.
The light turned green again and she pulled out into the intersection. She was halfway across when it happened. Her senses picked up another car as the headlights shone through her window. She had no time to react as her heart seemed to jump into her throat.
Her hands gripped the steering wheel tightly and her elbows locked into place, holding her back against the seat. The other car slammed into the left side of her yellow camaro, missing her thankfully. Everything regarding the crash from there on was just a blur to her.
Before she knew it, Viv was sitting in the back of the ambulance which was parked on the edge of the scene. An officer was asking her questions as the paramedics took care of the few minor scratches she had. The baby was fine, thank god. She could sense it and would have been able to tell if something was wrong.
The scene looked rather ugly to be honest. The entire front of the other driver's car was smashed in and there was glass everywhere. Her own car... well, it didn't look too pretty anymore. Half of the drivers side was smashed in, but it had thankfully missed her. The driver's side door had been stuck and the paramedics had quite a time getting it off. That's right, they had to tear it off. Windows were shattered and her car would have to be totalled. Her beautiful yellow camaro with the black racing stripes was totally done for.
The other driver was a bit worse, but he would live. The police officer had told her he had been intoxicated. Viv couldn't help but be angry at the man who had hit her. Not only had he destroyed her car, but he had nearly killed her and her unborn child while driving under the influence of alcohol!
Growing extremely tired of answering all these questions and having the paramedics look at her, Viv let out a tired sigh and asked the officer if she could have a moment to call her husband. The officer instead offered to have someone call him for her and went to speak to another officer as the paramedics continued to check and make sure she was alright.
Her only injuries were a few cuts from the broken glass and a bruise between her neck and shoulder from the seatbelt. Most of the cuts were on her left arm, though there was one located on the left side of her face where a shard of glass had just narrowly missed her eye.
As she sat there, she silently decided she would have to head down to see her father either when she got home or in the morning. They would deffinately be suing the idiot. Her father would probably flip out of course and would want to sue anyway.
She had been sitting there for quite a while by now and Louis had more than likely noticed she was late getting home. Her hazel eyes traveled over to the officer who had taken out a phone to call Louis. She was going to need a ride home and not only would she not want to be taken home by the police, but they sure as hell would't be able to take her up to the school anyway. All she really wanted was to get home and curl up in bed with her husband...
