Max watched her come out and he smirked lightly, "Nothing... doesn't matter anymore." he said with a slight sigh. He leaned back and rested his hands behind his head. 'Pizza's cooling." he said motioning to it on the stove. He watched her for a bit. He cocked a brow and then said, "What's on your mind? You seem frazzled." He said watching her, his hazel eyes calm....

Aly sighed and looked at him. "Am I that easy to read?" She looked down at the almost empty cup of tea. "Honestly, what we were before the kids. Just happy teenagers without any cares in the world." She swirled her tea before downing the rest of it. "Why? Something on your mind." She walked over to the stove and poured another cup of hot water for tea. Turning around she was putting a new bag in her cup.

Max stared at Aly and then he looked at her tea cup, a bit confused. "But... Ali, we really weren't happy teenagers. Well, happy maybe, but really not carefree. I was always worried about the Dima attacking you or the school. We were fighting them off so much." he said watching her. "Are you saying the kids tore are relationship up?" he cocked his head to the side, slightly confused....

Aly looked up at him, "What do you mean we weren't happy? I was happy." She jumped as he said that she was blaming the kids for their failed marriage. "I would never say that the kids destroyed us, I love them too much." She looked down, not sure if she should mention her idea. "I think it was you constantly guarding the school from the Dima and protecting Viv. Please don't take it the wrong way. I still love you and the rest of the Valoras, but when you are constantly gone I feel like I'm just...just...worthless." She choked out the words at the end.

Max stared at Aly and then he looked down, "No I'm not taking that the wrong way, but hun. I protected Viv for what? A week? Maybe longer.. I'm sorry. It's not my fault I didn't want you involved, wouldn't you rather it be that way, you and the children safe from harm?" He stared at her, his hazel eyes still calm. 'That's all I ever intended, never for you to feel... worthless." He said watching her face. " He was still speaking in a calm tone, he wasn't angry at all, just confused to why she thought such things. "If I ever thought you were worthless... well. I wouldn't be around right now would I?" he said watching her....

Still looking down at her tea, a few stray tears slid down her face as Aly heard what he was saying. "Leaving me out of the loop, not getting me involved was just as dangerous as letting me know. No matter what our kids are still a target of the Dima and I would rather know what is going on so I can defend them when the time comes instead of being surprised." She set her tea down on the counter behind her and jumped forward, wrapping her arms around his lower torso and burying her face in his chest. "I'm sorry and such and idiot." She couldn't keep the tears back anymore and just cried against him silently. "I really messed up..." She choked out the words softly, not knowing anything anymore.

Max watched her as she said this, his eyes narrowing the slightest bit. He was about to say something when she flew forward, he looked down wide eyed, jumping away slightly confused. He felt her wet tears start on his stomach as he sat in the chair and he looked around, the kids were in another room, that was the best thing, he didn't want them to see their mother break down. "Aly... don't blame this on yourself." He said slowly, his hand coming down and brushing her hair away from her buried face. "This was a choice we both made." he said looking at her with his calm hazel eyes....

Aly shook her head stubbornly, "I-I-I'm th-the o-o-one wh-who p-pu-shed y-you a-aw-away...wh-when y-you c-ca-came h-home w-w-with V-v-viv th-th-that d-day." She choked out the words, looking up at him and feeling guilty as she knelt on the floor next to him shaking. She kept her voice soft so the kids wouldn't hear her. "I-it i-is m-my fault." She didn't want to blame him, remembering that she had when he came home from keeping Viv safe. She rested her head on his leg unsure.

Max watched her, he didn't know how to comfort her without making it worse. "Trust me Aly, it's not your fault." He said brushing her hair slowly, trying to calm her. "What's done is done Aly.. I'm sorry." He said slowly. "I don;t want you to live in the past. Hold your head up high with all the decisions you make..." He said lifting her chin....

Aly didn't answer but got up and and grabbed a pen off the counter. She walked to the other end of the table, the tears had stopped. She looked at the basket of papers and grabbed the top one. "Then all is said and done right?" She was asking if there was anything between them to consider, besides the kids. She grabbed the top envelope and waited for his reply. It was a large brown envelope that was from the lawyers, it contained the divorce papers that split everything up between them, saying who got what and who. They just needed he signature to make it final.

Max watched her get up. His hazel eyes flickered over to the papers and he took a deep breath. "Everything is said and done, the only thing that's needed is your approval." He said calmly, his eyes never leaving her. He was proud of her for being strong all of a sudden.....

"Approval no...signature yes..." Aly said, pulling out the papers and signing them. She put them back in the envelope. "You can give these to the laywer, I refuse to see him." She gave Max the papers and walked over to the kitchen counter, pulling out a knife and cutting the pizza into squares. "Jeff, bring them in here. Pizza's ready!" She heard them get up and head in here, Jeff behind the twins. She set three plates on the table with several pieces of pizza on them. She had a plate herself with some pieces on it, taking a bread stick also.

Max smirked at what she said and then watched as the kids filed in. He was silent mostly. He ate slowly and watched his son and daughter. Dinner was good and he watched the kids babble about damn near anyhing.....

Aly sat at the opposite end of the table from Max. She picked at the pizza and bread sticks in front of her, not overly hungry. She smiled at the kids as they ate and babbled about nothing. "Oh, tell your mom that I'll come visit some day soon with Jeff and Mikey." The two boys picked up their head at the mention of their names. They looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. "She would enjoy that wouldn't she." She continued to pick, only on her second piece.

Max picked up his head and then smiled at her, "ok... yes. She'll like that very much. She probly have a whole day set up if I tell her ahead of time." he felt the urge to roll his eyes at his mother, she loved to spoil kids. He smirked at the boys and then he looked at Jazz, who seemed to be enjoying herself alot....
