Mercy was out with her son and her friend's younger sister, Lelia. Aiden and Chelsey really needed the time to prepare for the baby, so Mercy had agreed to watch Lelia for the day. Actually, they were having a sleep over.
In need of a few new books, Mercy had brought the kids to the mall for a bit of shopping. Mercy was wearing a pair of light jeans with a nice, orange blouse that was perfect for spring and a pair of black heels. Her curly hair was down, but clipped back in a nice way.
Jacob was in the stroller wearing a pair of jeans and a cute little hockey jersey with a pair of black shoes. He sat there, giggling as he played with her cell phone. It was his favorite thing in the world.
Mercy stood with her hand on the stroller which was off to her right as she looked through the books they had in the store. Her other hand was on her hip, but every once in a while she would remove it to pull one of the books off the shelf and take a look at it. Lelia was off in the children's section, looking at books for herself as Mercy had said she would buy her one.

Rose searching for some more books to cover the shelf in her apartment, only after she read them though. It was spring and wonderful outside as she was wearing a black halter top with jean shorts and black runners. Her blood red hair was pinned up enough that it didn't come down past her shoulders and her white tattoos were visible on her tannish skin. She smiled at the woman with the stroller and the kid...who she recognized? Rose shrugged it off and browesed the books on the shelf, looking for good reads. She started to play with the ruby rose that was on her choker as her fingers dragged across the bindings.

Mercy smiled at the other woman as she smiled at her and then turned her attention back to the books. She looked down at Jacob to see him chewing on her cell phone and with a sigh, she took it from him, putting it in her pocket. "Yucky," she said to him, wrinkling her nose. He started to pout a bit, so she grabbed a pacifier from the diaper bag and gave it to him. He happily accepted it and was sucking on it as he reached for things on the shelves that were completely out of his reach. She smiled at him and looked up as she saw Lelia come around.
Lelia came skipping over to Mercy with a book in her hand. Her red hair was pulled up into a ponytail and she was wearing a yellow shirt with a pair of kapris and black sneakers. "Mercy," she said, skipping up to her. "I found the book I want." She gave an excited smile and held it up to her so she could see. The smile she gave was extra cute as she was missing a tooth. Her eyes wandered briefly over to the other woman who she vaguely recognized, though couldn't exactly place who she was.

Rose wasn't paying attention as the woman fussed with her child. She was looking now looking a thick book on magic and wars. She looked up to see a little girl come around the corner, Lelia. She closed the book lightly and smiled, "Hey Lelia," She had answered one question for her, Mercy was the woman's name.

Lelia smiled at the woman, remembering who she was now. Chelsey's sister. "Hi," she said, waving happily. She had been very shy the last time she had seen Rose. She looked over at Jake and went to kneel in front of the stroller, making faces and playing with him as he laughed behind the pacifier.
Mercy smiled and took the book from Lelia, checking to make sure it was appropriate. She looked over at the other woman as she said hi to Lelia, scrutinizing her for a moment and then deciding she might be worth introducing herself to. "Umm, hi," she said, smiling at her and wondering how she knew Lelia. "My name's Mercy. How do you two...?" She gestured to Lelia, her eyebrows knitting together, here gray eyes going back and forth between Lelia and the woman before settling back on the woman.

"Know each other?" Rose finished Mercy's sentence not that it was too hard to figure out. "She's Aiden Calder's litte sister, right? Well...he's marrying my sister..." She smiled again and her fangs were easily visible like in all of her smiles. "The three of them were over at my apartment once...Oh, my name's Rose."

Mercy gave a surprised smile as she heard this. "You're Chelsey's sister?" she said, glancing over at Lelia and Jake. "It's nice to meet you." She saw her fangs but it didn't phase her one bit. The people she was closest to in life were all mostly vampires. Hell, even her son was half vampire.

"Yeah...Why?" Rose gave her a quizzical look. She had never found being a sister all that wonderful especially to her sister. Her head hurt from trying to keep track of her constantly and keep her safe. Once they had separated long ago, nothing good had come from being her sister.

"Oh, I was just surprised, that's all," she said, looking at her. "I don't remember Chels ever mentioning that she had a sister. But then again, most of us don't talk about our past too much..." She frowned slightly, thinking of her own younger sister and her family that had disowned her and probably forgotten about her.

"No, she doesn't like to mention me since...well...she thinks I'm the one that messed up her life. I let her blame me for it and it seems to give me some purpose to my life." She laughed lightly at her words since she was really only here to see her sister get married and have a son now in July about. She had visions with Aiden and Chelsey every couple of weeks that her head constantly hurt. "She hates me and I probably shouldn't have come back, but I had to see her get married."

Mercy nodded, her brows knitting together. "Yeah, I know how that feels," she said, her gray eyes sad. She heard the sound of her son's giggle though and it brought some happiness back to her. "Oh, this is Jacob by the way," she said, nodding her head toward the half vampire baby in the stroller.

"He's half isn't he?" Rose said looking at him still with the nagging feeling that she knew him from some place. She smiled and continued to watch him, never having actually seen a halfling before. She looked back at Mercy with a slight frown, "I hate to ask, but how is my sister doing now? With the baby coming?"

"Yeah," she said, looking at her son, her expression warm. Her eyes traveled back up to Rose as she asked about her sister. "As far as I know she's doing fine... A little scared about becoming a mother, but she'll get use to it. They're both perfectly healthy as far as I can tell." If she had noticed anything wrong with either Chels or the baby, she would have taken action right away of course.

"That's good to hear." Rose said with a smile. "She said she never wanted to have children too." Rose closed her eyes for a few seconds. She reopened them with a sad look in her eyes. "She'll be a wonderful mother to her son. She just needs to have the child in her arms to realize it." She knew many things about her sister and the son she was carrying, but as for how it was going nothing.
A shocked/pained look shot across Rose's face. "I'm sorry but I have to leave. Please tell my sister the middle of July. They may want to finish that room soon. It was nice to meet you and your son Mercy." She suddenly turned with out another word, the book put hastilly back on the shelf.
