Sydney Ryder sat by herself. Her silky, brown hair was straight and she wore a dark, navy blue snow hat. Her blue jeans were tight and she wore a pair of brown snow boots. Her tight tee shirt was long sleeved and dark blue to match her hat.
She had a distant look on her face, thinking of home as she looked out at the frozen lake from where she sat on a rock. The cold didn't bother her. She welcomed it.
Syd missed home. To an extent that is. She didn't miss Sarah and she probably never would. She missed her quiet but loving sister and her spontaneous, cheesy father. She missed their lakeside home, the sun shining across the rippling water and tanning on the dock by the boathouse, laughing with Hailey and Rae.
But this was her home now. It would do. It was a nice place and there were plenty of people. Too bad that can be a bad thing for people like me... At the thought, her leg started to bounce up and down and she clenched her teeth, her jaw set. Her light brown eyes were spotted with red. She was usually vey good with controlling herself. But she had a tendency to stop herself from feeding until it was absolutely necessary.
After a moment, the feeling of aching hunger passed, her rigid muscles loosening up again. She sighed and ran her hand over the smooth surface of the rock she sat on. It was sometime after the school's dinner time, which Syd had also skipped. She had lost her appetite. She was home sick, but the thought of home reminded her of Sarah. And Sarah was not a welcome thought within her mind.

Angel was overly bored and sat in her open window sill looking down. It was a drop, not that she cared. She leaned back and stuck her feet underneath herself. She pushed off and felt the cold wind whip by. She was spinning heading for the ground quickly, with just a foot to spare her wings burst out and she flew upward towards the lake. Her laughter was soft as she landed sprawled out on the ice of the lake. Her eyes, hair and cloak almost blended in, they were just slightly brighter than the ice. She never realized that there was anyone else nearby. She rolled onto her stomach and spotted the girl, the laughing stopped even though the mischievous smile was still there.

Sydney was pulled away from her thoughts as a girl landed on the ice not far away. This didn't come as a surprise to her as she had heard the sound of something flying through the air. Her eyes narrowed and she frowned slightly, having lost her moment of quiet zen.
She pulled her feet up onto the rock and crossed her legs, pretzel style. Her light brown eyes traveled to the girl and she gave her a weird look, wondering what the hell she was doing. Her leg started to bounce again, just a little. But she kept herself in control, looking away from the girl and out across the frozen lake once more.

Howie walked around the lake in a curious manner, for once not in his werewolf form. He was probly the only one that spent more of his time out of wolf form than in it. He was a newer member to the pack and wondered alot, not really wanting to get picked on by Simmon, he was a lot bigger than he was. His sandy hair was tassled and spiked in crazy ways. His grey eyes spotted something fly and land on the middle of the ice and he cocked a brow, his eyes followed to where the winged women was looking and she saw a girl sitting on a rock. A small smile crossed his face and he walked forward still, approaching the girl on the rock, she almost seemed frustrated. "Hey..." He said plainly. He didn't catch her scent just yet, it was easier when he was in wolf form to do that. He was wearing jeans and a leather jacket to keep warm, a white plain t-shirt was under his jacket, his eyes searched the girl for any emotion...

Sydney looked up as she heard the boy speak to her. She noticed that his scent seemed to be different then most others, but she thought nothing of it. She had never come across a werewolf before, so why should she recognize one?
"Hi," she said, her brown eyes wandering away as she saw this guy looking into them. She bit her lip and made room on the rock in case he wanted to sit. She glanced over at him and smiled somewhat. "Is everyone in this school like that?" she asked him quietly, nodding her head subtly toward the girl who had landed on the ice.

Howie smiled as she answered him, seemingly interested in talking to him. He looked over at the girl he saw before, when his pack leader, Mark was fighting with her. "Ummm... that depends, not many people in the school have wings." He said smiling. He sat down next to her as she scooted to the side. "So I'm assuming your new since you don't really know what most ofd the students are like." He smiled.
