Being pregnant in the middle of the summer really did suck. Viv was wearing a pair of denim capri shorts and a cute green maternity blouse with black runners for comfort. Her brown hair was curly and clipped back.
She was somewhere in her fourth month by now and Elle had been able to tell her it was going to be a boy. It was getting late in the afternoon by now and the hot summer sun was getting lower in the skt, casting a golden glow upon the school on the forest, reflecting off the surface of the smooth surface of the lake and the flowing water within the fountain.
She had been taking a walk around the school grounds and her back was starting to get sore as were her feet and ankles. Decidding to take a rest before she went back up to the apartment, she sat down on the edge of the fountain, leaning back on her one hand with the other on her growing belly.
With a sigh, she looked out above the forest as the trees swayed back and forth in a rhythmic motion. A faint smile crossed her face as she imagined what it would be like. Sure, she was scared to death and sometimes really wished she had her mother there with her, but in a way that just helped her keep going with it.
A warm breeze swept by and Viv took in a deep breath of air, calming and relaxing herself before she had to go back up. She kept her eyes on the forest, the golden light refflecting off her hazel eyes, her senses more open than ever to everything around her.
She could sense every bird that flew over the school, every deer roaming the edges of the forest, ever rabbit poking its head from a hole in the ground. She could hear every bee buzz and every chirp from every bird. It never bothered her, being able to hear, see or feel so much. After all, she could turn it on and off. But for the moment, she was perfectly content with the world around her...
