Deep within the forest Mark Harper sat along the frozen lake. The only lake in the forest, a random lake, that was know to hold Mermaids. Mark wasn't afraid of these beasts, though in some cases he should be. The lake was more like a pond, smaller in that matter. Except it never grew green gross stuff like most stagnant pools of water do, thats why Mark liked to hang by it so much, even if it was frozen over. Snow dusted the ground, about a half an inch. It was that snow that looked a lot like dust, it sparkled and stuck to Mark's paws as he paced around the frozen lake, ducking his head every so often to sniff some things.....
Around this area was what mark called home most of the time, he liked it around here, the quiet, the water that seemed to always be fresh, and the food supply. He didn't really need a shelter but he had a small den now, because of winter. But as the sun came up early in the morning Mark found himself wandering around the frozen lake, his huge silver paws leaving footprints. He wiped the snow away in some places with his paws, to peer through the ice to see if he could find anything unusual, nothing. With a huge sigh the giant werewolf walked to the middle of the lake, walked about in circles and then laid down in the middle, curled up into this silver mass of fur. His black eyes gazed around protectivly of his favorite property.....
