Mercy was going to continue with what she was saying when Ty deflected the bottle. Jake started to cry like crazy and Mercy's face totally paled. The soda bottle had hit Jake right in the forehead. He was bleeding too. "Oh my god," Mercy said, her hands flying up to cover her mouth and nose in shock. She just hit her baby. Even if it was an accident... She rushed over to Jake, totally ignoring what Ty said. She lifted him from his height chair and sat him down on the counter top, pressing her hand against his forehead to put pressure on the cut. It was deep enough that he would need stitches. She couldn't heal him, her powers were acting up. "Shit..." she said, panicking. Jake was hurt and it was all her fault.

Ty stopped and then realized Jake was bleeding, he saw it was a lot and he ran to the cabinet and got a fresh wash cloth, wet it and gave it to Mercy, "Here... put pressure on his head with this instead of your hand." He said quickly. He got his keys and his wallet and then looked at Mercy. "Can you get him to the car or do you need me to carry him? We need to get him to the hospital... he probly needs Stitches." He said wincing lightly at the thought. He expected his son to have to get those eventually, but not this soon....

"I've got him," Mercy said, taking the rag and folding it up a little before pressing it to Jake's head. He cried aand she picked him up. He clung to his mommy like crazy. It was the first time this kid had ever bled. Mercy carried him to the door and waited for Ty, biting her lip as she tried to calm Jake.

Ty wasn't mad at Mercy anymore, he was to concerned with Jake at the moment. "Hold on little dude. We will get you fixed in no time." he said to Jake, opening the door and rushing out. Within a few minutes he pulled up to the hospital, with still whaling Jake and scared Mercy. He got a nurse to take them back, so their son wasn't alone when he got his stitches. They gave him meds to make him drowsy so he would be quieter and more comfortable. Ty's green eyes held sorrow as he watched his son sway around drunkenly. He shook his head and then doctors came in and started asking questions about how this happened, he was being asked questions reguarding them beating their son. Ty got pissed at them....

Mercy held the baby as they stitched up his forehead. She was holding back tears now. She felt absolutely horrible. She had hurt her own son and it made her feel like the worst mother ever. The doctors made her feel ten times worse by asking if they beat their son and she told them no way. She would never do something like this on purpose. After they were done stitching him up, they put a bandage over his stitches and they were free to go.

Ty watched Mercy, and his eyes flickered to his son every so often. He kept giving the doctors looks as they asked if he and or his wife hit their child. "NO... sir.. please. We do not and we will never. Now back off and give my wife and kid some air." He growled, growing defensive over his family. When it was all over he took Jake, since the kid could barely hold himself up, he was so tired. He looked at Mercy and kissed her forehead and led her out of the hospital with one hand on the small of her back. 'It's fine babe... things like this happen everyday." he said in her ear, leading her to the car...

Mercy's eyes were watering. Ty's words were little comfort to her. She just felt so damn horribe. "I feel horrible though," she said, sniffing and wiping away a tear that had started to slide down her cheek. Jake may have been exhausted, but the other baby was awake and kicking and decided to give Mercy a sharp kick in the ribs. "Ow," she said, rubbing her side, though she felt like she deserved it.

Tyler looked in the back seat at his son who was dozing. Then he saw the baby kicked Mercy and he frowned. "Babe... it was my fault too. You can't blame yourself. Hey maybe he'll have a cool scar that will draw in women." He said with a small smile, trying to cheer her up....

Mercy looked at Ty as he attempted to cheer her up, the tears flowing down her face. "No it wasn't," she said as Ty said it was his fault too. "I threw the bottle. I'm a horrible mother..." She was totally crying now, looking back at Jake who was sleeping in his carseat.

Ty didn't start the car as Mercy started to cry. "Hey... sshhh.." He said leaning toward her, wiping her tears from her face. "Please don't cry... it put's too much stress on you and the baby. Relax Mercy." He said wiping more tears. "You are NOT a horrible mothers, horrible mothers are people that abuse there kids over and over and don't take them to the hospital. Mother's that disown there children and leave them in dumpsters. Trust me... your a perfect mother." He said....

Mercy sniffed and looked at Ty with her watery eyes as he wiped her tears away. She bit her lip and nodded her head when he told her not to cry. She had a hand resting on her belly and she hugged Ty, sniffing and trying to slow her tears. "I'm sorry," she said, referring to yelling at him and also for crying like that.

Ty watched her carefully, his green eyes soft. "Don't be sorry at all honey." He said kissing her forehead. He watched her tears slow and he hugged her tight for a few seconds and then he pulled away. "Let's get him home and in bed, then we need to get you in bed too." He said with a smile. "I'm sleepy... you have to be too.." He said starting the car....

Mercy smiled, but only a little as Ty said this. She rested her head on the back of the seat and rubbed a spot on her belly where the baby kicked. She sighed and just waited to get home. She was tired. And her back hurt too.

Tyler had them back at the Dima headquarters and he carried the passed out Jake in his arms all the way to Jake's crib. He placed him there and put a blanket on him, watched him for a minute and then walked into his bedroom, looking at Mercy. He sat her down on the bed and then crawled onto it behind her and started to rub her back, not saying a word....

Mercy followed Ty back to the apartment and made her way into the bedroom as Ty put Jake down in his crib. She changed into a dark green tank top and a pair of gray short shorts. She waited for Ty to come in and she sighed as he rubbed her back. She was still upset by what had happened, but Ty had calmed her down. The baby wouldn't stop kicking. Mercy had an ultrasound the next day, so they would be finding out what the baby's gender was. She laid down beside Ty and rested her hands on her belly, biting her lip.
