It was growing late and Tala needed to get back to the school soon. The sun was setting below the trees and she could see her breath in the air. A layer of snow covered the forest floor and the trees were bare of leaves. Tala had been in need of some fresh air and some alone time.
She came to a stop in her dark brown wolf form, panting. Taking a moment to rest, she slowly walked toward a nearby tree and shifted into her human form, sitting against the tree trunk and pulling her knees to her chest.
Her long brown hair was down and curly and she wore a brown knit hat on her head. She wore a long-sleeved, dark brown t-shirt and dark jeans tucked into dark brown, fur boots. She leaned her head back, her breathing a bit heavy from running so far. She had been running for a while. She leaned her head back against the tree and sighed, closing her eyes. She was starting to get cold and knew she would have to run back in just a bit. She already wouldn't make it out of the mountains by nightfall.

Bryan was in the mountains, enjoying the cold December air. He had long shaggy brown hair as he stalked through the woods. His canines were eight inch daggers that hung towards the ground. He was in his favorite cat form, a saber tooth. His nose was to the ground and he came across the path of a werewolf, there was no mistaking it. He followed it and found a girl sitting underneath a tree with her legs pulled close to her chest.
He came up by her and sat back on his haunches twenty feet away. "You alright?" He found that she had a strange scent to her of many different herbs and spices. He gave her a catty smile.

Tala's wolf senses picked up on someone coming her way. She smelled human even as she saw the saber tooth approach. She wasn't at all taken aback by this as it was something she was quite use to. Where she came from, there were plenty of shifters. She lifted her head from the tree trunk and cocked a brow at him as he spoke. "Yes," she said, smiling slightly at the smile he gave her. "Why?"

Bryan shrugged the muscular shoulders of his feline body. "Just wondering...I don't know many people that go into the woods and hug their knees when everything in their life is going all right." He sat up with his back against the tree, his front paws dangling in the air. "But then again not everyone is the same." He gave a sigh and changed back to his human self. He sat in the snow with a pair of jeans on and runners on, he wasn't cold but was actually warm. His arms rested on his knees as he sat against the tree without a shirt. "Sorry...I over heat to easily."

Tala shook her head. "I'm just a thoughtful person," she said, giving a small, half smile. "And I'm not like most people." She looked over at him as he sat against the tree and shook her head. "Umm, it's ok. The sight of a shirtless man isn't exactly new to me. I spent most of my life on an Indian reservation, so a lot of men went around shirtless. Especially during tribal rituals and such."

"Well that's nice to know. I don't know many thoughtful people like you." Bryan smiled and readjusted his stance, sitting with one of his legs stretched out and the other bent with his arm resting on it. "I figured you weren't like most people when I caught your scent originally." He had a thoughtful look on his face as his brow furrowed slightly. "Indian reservation you say..." He hadn't met any Native Americans before and that really does make sense for the smell. "I shall have to assume that you use herbs and spices during your rituals..."

"Of course," Tala said, looking at him. "Plenty of incense and sage, stuff like that." She sighed, thinking about home now. "Why do you ask?" She looked over at the guy and gave him a look. "I'm Tala by the way..."

"I can smell them, that's all. I was just wondering since I could smell them mixed in with your scent." Bryan smiled and nodded at her introduction. "I'm Bryan, It's nice to meet you Tala." He took in a deep breath and the smell of pine trees filled his nose.

Tala smiled and nodded her head. "Nice to meet you too," she said, leaning her head back and sighing. "So, you have powers..." she said, glancing at him curiously. "Do you go to Valora Academy?" He looked to be a bit older, so she couldn't be too sure.

"Yeah, I have a few..." Bryan smiled and looked up at the darkening sky. "I graduated three years ago this coming spring." He looked back at her, "When are you done there? I only assume since you asked about the school, it would be that you attend there." The last part of the sentence didn't sound right as he said it searching for the right words, unable to find them. He shrugged and looked back up, "It's the start of a nice night isn't it?"

Mark trotted up after his nose was filled with the scent of Tala, his alpha female and yet another stranger. The silver wolf made his way across to her, leaving huge wolf prints in the snow. His pelt was dusted with snow and he knew somewhere that Simmon was around, but he wasn't to concerned, he let his pack members wonder where they pleased, he didn't own them....
With his head lower as he passed the stranger, his tail went from straight out to a wagging stage when he saw Tala. His black eyes took her in, she was hugging her knees and he cocked his head and whined. He nudged her away from the tree and spun himself around her before laying behind her, so she could lay. He curled around her like he was guarding her. His eyes stayed on the stranger sitting a few feet away from them. Then his eyes looked up at Tala as he rested his head in his huge paws....

Tala smiled at Bryan and looked up at the tree tops. "I'm in my junior year, so next year will be my last there," she said, pulling her hair over one shoulder and running her fingers through it. She nodded in agreement to what he said about it being a nice night. "Yeah, looks like it."
She picked up on Mark heading toward them right away. She let him nudge her away from the tree and smiled, running her hand through his fur. "This is Mark by the way," she said to Bryan, leaning against him.

"Not long left then huh?" Bryan continued to look up even though he could smell the new werewolf. His name is Mark...Bryan looked down, "I'm Bryan..." He nodded his head, falling forward to his hands. "A nice night for a flight..." He really wasn't in the mood for talking anymore and shook his body similar to a wet dog. When he stopped shaking he was a black scaled person with wings and a long tail. "It was nice to meet you Tala, Mark..." He nodded his head to both of them and launched up off the ground and up through the trees to the night sky where he was soon unseen.

Mark's ears pricked forward as Tala introduced him. Then they laid back as Bryan spoke and morphed. His nose wrinkled and he stayed silent till the guy left. THen he let out a big sighed huff and morphed out of his werewolf form. "Do you always draw in men? Is keeping you gunna be like a compeition?" he asked with a slight smirk. He sat up so she was leaning against his chest inbetween his legs...

Tala laughed lightly. "What? Don't you trust me?" she asked him, leaning against him. She leaned her head back a bit and looked at him, kissing him on the cheek. She thought it was kinda cute, the way he was acting. "Mark, you have nothing to worry about..."
