Her paws thumped against the bare earth of the trail like the pounding of drums. Her brown eyes were focused and she could almost hear the sound of the faster, more upbeat tone of the warrior's song. Ikaiayi.
The dark brown wolf darted through the forest of the mountains, the animals nearby calmly watching her zip by. Tala had a calming effect on nature just as nature had a calming effect on her.
As she reached a clearing in the trees, the little werewolf slowed her pace. She walked forward, toward the stream that she had known sh would find there. As she stepped forward, the shape of the wolf changed into a human girl.
Her long brown hair was pulled back into a braid and her brown eyes became less wolfish. She was wearing a pair of denim capris and a long, off white tank blouse. Feather earrings hung from her ears with a necklace and bracelet to match. Her feet were bare, but she really didn't care. The earth was cool beneath her feet, despite the hot summer air.
She did not stop to take a sip however. Instead, the girl found herself weaving through trees, spinning and almost dancing, touching those closest to her as she passed. She breathed deeply, taking in the scent of the earth and let her eyes close.
She let her senses guide her. Her ears would warn her of any impending danger. She didn't once crash or run into a tree and nor did she fall. Instead, she glided through the mountain forest, trusting her instincts. She was following a vision.
The sound of distant tribal music filled not just her head, but the air around her. It was carried by the wind that whistled through the trees and the birds that sang above. It flowed across the surface of the running water and was drifting through the forest floor, beneath the feet of the surrounding creatures that watched with interest.
Then, it suddenly stopped. The beat, the sounds, the dancing, the running, the music in the air. Tala came to a halt, her eyes snapping open and her head whipping to the side at a very distinct noise...

The distinct noise the wolf girl heard was none other than Mark Harper, the only other werewolf on Valora territory. Though for once he was in his human form. He hardly had been to his dorm, so his clothes were ripped and torn, his shorts had once been pants but where now shredded into shorts, and his shirt was off, his very well formed muscles rippled under his tan skin. His dark brwon hair was short still and his brown eyes were on the girl, staring.
His hands were shoved in his pockets and his feet were bare too. He made a short noise that almost sounded like a woof but it was just a clearing of his throat. His expression finally changed into a confident expression. He knew she was a werewolf, he saw her, but he could also smell it on her. He hadn't seen a female werewolf... but then again he hadn't seen a werewolf since the one that attacked him went off. He just stared at her, reading her, taking her in....
Then after a minute or two he walked forward, circling around her, his eyes not straying off her. He paced about her, waitign to see what she'd do. He was indeed looking for pack members....

Tala stared back at the other wolf. Just as he could tell she was a wolf, she could tell he was one. The expression on her face was relaxed and content. He was the one her vision had led her to. She held back a slight, satisfied smile and kept her chin held high and confident. "You go to the school, she said. It wasn't a question, but a statement. The small smile krept across her face and she stretched her arms above her head.

Mark stopped pacing and stood to face her again. His expression was the same, not a hint of a smile or any expression in his eyes. "Yes." He answered fast and then just narrowed his eyes. "Visions?" he asked quickly. He kept his talk short and studied her most of all. She had to have visions, she seemed... to confident. His sharp brown eyes scanned her over and over, but he couldn't tell anything wrong, only that she was a girl, and that wasn't exactly wrong... just a weakness. (HEHEHE) "A female werewolf..." He said plainly...

Tala nodded her head. "I'm no weakling," she said, guessing at what he was getting at. "I may be small, but I'm fast." She was a stubborn girl. She wasn't overly confident, but confident just the same. The smile stayed on her face, but she cocked a brow. "And you're a male werewolf... But that can easily be changed..." Oh yeah, she was also a smartass sometimes. She had a bit of a witty tongue, something that would often cause her grandfather to burst into laughter.

Mark huffed. He watched her smart remark and his brow cocked. "Well I won't have to worry about you getting picked on." He said half smiling. "fast you say... hmmm.." He said knitting his brows. He thought for a second and then was already thinking about her in the pack he was forming, it couldn't hurt. Better to have a werewolf on your side than against it. Two seconds later he was trasformed into a huge silver brick-shit house. Made of muscle and bulk he stood towering over her. "You wanna show me. Im pretty speedy myself." He said, his wolf face relaxed into a fine frame. His muscles rippled under his coat as he waited for her. "Come'on girly... show me." He said flicking his ears forward....

Tala watched as he changed. He was big, but she was deffinately not afraid of him. She shifted intp her beautiful brown werewolf form and gave him a challenging look. "You ready?" she asked him, her ears flicking forward. She took a step forward, standin rightbeside him and at the ready. She dug her paws a little into the ground so that she could take off nicely.

Mark watched her as she changed, cocking a brow and letting her stand next to him, his face still completely relaxed. She was alot smaller than he was, but that only meant she could be more speed-like. He bent his head down slightly. "Ready..." He rumbled. His muscles coiled for the spring. "Set us off wolf." He said smartly....

Tala waited a moment, getting ready. "Set..." she said, her eyes gleaming. "...GO!" She took off like lightning, dodging around trees better than anyone you had ever seen. She didn't have super speed, but she was still fast. She loved running. Especially around nature. Knowing what was around you really helped you to go faster seeing as you didn't have to worry about tripping over anything really. That's how tight she was with nature. She could walk a forest blind folded.

Mark started off right next to her, and nearly ran into a tree in a matter of seconds, doging it slowed his down. He was a bulkier wolf, so it was harder for him to dodge things, she on the other hand was furry lightning. He followed her, for the most part, only a about 6 yards behind, though this was far enough for Mark to be proud of this girl, he was fast.... but she.. was faster. After about several minutes of running through dense forest, he came to a halt over a stream. His tongue hanging and his sides heaving abit. She'd beaten him, and beaten him good. He never was ahead of her, and only matched strides with her for about five seconds. He stayed by the stream edge, panting away....

Tala was panting, but not as much as him. She sat down by the stream's edge and looked at him, cocking her head to the side. "So what was that you said about female wolves again?" she asked him, shifting back into her human form and sitting cross legged. She had a smile on her face. "My name is Tala by the way..."

Mark's ears went back for a split second and then he too morphed back into himself sitting on his butt, his legs spread slightly and his knees up, his elbows resting on them. His chest heaved up and down and he stared at her with his jaw slightly jut. He just smirked and then stared at her. "Mark..." He said plainly and then opend his mouth, "So.... every think about joining a pack? A girl like you could still get hurt... fast or not." He said cocking a brow.....

"Anyone could get hurt," she said, looking up at the tree tops thoughtfully. "Fast or not, strong or not... This world isn't exactly safe." She looked back at him and cocked a brow. "It was never really a thought that crossed my mind until now. But if you're asking me to join you..." She looked at him for a moment, tilting her head to the side. "I suppose I would consider accepting the offer. It's more dangerous to be a lone wolf then to be in a pack."

Mark gave her a half smile, "Exactly." He said with a almost purr. "You'd be safer... maybe not the safest... but.... it's better than nothing. Keeps you from goign crazy eh?" he said with a slight smile. Mark stood up then, "You have a room in Valora?" He asked sighing. "I hardly get to my dorm, but when I don't feel like sleeping on the ground anymore a bed really helps sometimes." He said looking at her.....

((Ooh, her room is gonna be so awesome...))
Tala smiled slightly and nodded her head. "Yeah, I have a room," she said, standing up and brushing herself off a bit. "Why?" She looked at him and stretched a bit, standing on her toes with her arms stretched above her head for just a moment, letting her muscles stretch.
