Vivienne was home alone with Vincent. Everyone was out that night for whatever reason. Andrew had left earlier on in the day and was probably with Natalie or something. Jaxon would have been there with her until someone got home, but he was in a meeting or on business or something with her father. Not even Louis was home.
It had been a long and stressful day for Viv. Everything had gone wrong. Her car had broken down, Vincent had gotten a penny stuck up his nose... and then proceeded to flush one of Lou's ties down the toilet. Viv's iPod had been somehow knocked into the kitchen sink and went right down the drain... and then when Viv went to turn on the light above the sink... she accidentally turned on the garbage disposal.
Then the TV nearly fell on top of Vince. Viv had totally freaked out when that happened, afraid that he had been hurt. Then, the computer totally crashed. It was really just one of those totally horrible days and Viv just wanted it to be over with.
Viv was wearing a pair of black capri tights and a nice, teal colored maternity blouse. Her hair was down and straight and she had on a pair of black shoes. She sighed as she went around the apartment, picking things up off the floor, like Vince's toys and Lou's shoes and stuff like that. Viv was stressing herself out... With just about everything.
Vince was sitting in his height chair, making a mess with dry Cheerios. He was wearing a pair of green, one-piece footie pajamas. He looked up as Viv came into the kitchen and held out a Cheerio for her. Smiling at her nephew, Viv took the Cheerio and kissed his cheek.
With a sigh, Viv started to put things away in the kitchen and looked at the clock. It was getting late and she didn't want to keep Vincent up too long. She picked him up out of the height chair and walked into the baby's room where they had Vincent sleeping for the time being. She put Vince down in the crib and tucked him in before turning on the night light and the baby monitor.
She closed the bedroom door softly and walked down the hall, stopping for a moment as she felt a slight pain in her stomach. She thought nothing of it though and went into the kitchen again, wiping off the counters and putting the dishes in the dish washer away.
The pain came again, ten times worse this time, and a plate that Viv had been putting away hit the floor, shattering into a million tiny pieces. Viv slid down to the floor, pain written across her face. Her hands were on her belly and she gritted her teeth, wincing.
She took a deep and shaky breath, pushing herself up and grabbing her cell phone. She knocked a few things off the counter as she did so, but was in too much pain to give a shit. It was way too early for her to be going into labor. And everyone said that it was painful, but she was sure it shouldn't be this horrible.
Of course she was scared to death. She was about six months pregnant, home alone with only a thirteen month old baby boy and now something was probably seriously wrong with the baby she was carrying. Her hands shook as she held in the number to speed dial Louis. The phone on the other end rang and rang... No answer.
"Shit," Viv whined, her voice higher from the pain. Tears stung her hazel eyes and she pressed her back against the cabinet. And then... the power went out and Viv was stuck there in the dark, moonlight streaming through the windows. Oh yeah, and it had been raining pretty hard most of the day as well.
Viv cried and called Louis again. She was starting to hyperventilate and really freak out. She could hardly see and her hands shook as she tried to send Lou a text message. I need u, she sent him, holding her phone tight as she waited for an answer. She pushed her hair back from her face, barely able to breath as the pain intensified.
Vincent started to cry in the other room, but Viv couldn't get up to go and see what he wanted. She was panicking. This pain felt like it would kill her. "God damn it Louis!" Viv said, sniffing and grabbing her phone again. "Pick up the phone!" She sent him another text, crying out in pain as it got worse. NOW.
Her tear filled eyes were a dark and shining gold as she tried to stand, but it only made things worse. Her next course of action was to call Eleanor or her father... Too bad her phone decided to die. At least she had gotten a message to Louis though. All she could do now was wait for Louis or Andy to come home. She would have gone for the home phone, but it was all the way across the room. She prayed that Louis would get her message and come home soon...
