[/font][/blockquote][/blockquote]like the formation of a sentence we all begin and end. sometimes the topic is well thought out, every word and letter perfectly placed, creating a masterpiece much like an individual themself. but sometimes... not everything goes as planned, whether it be intentionally or by accident. one was written too fast, poor education led to poor writing style, lack of appropriate materials leads to words scrawled by a stick in the sand, or by blood on parchment. there are grammatical errors, punctuation flaws—a misused semi-colon or comma—spelling mistakes or missing words. all it takes to soothe the english conscious mind again is the right person, a red pen and lots of time. without the proper attention the outcome could be enough to make someone go... insane.

a little under one hundred years ago a need was discovered and in the same year the need was met. a young and wealthy therapist, by the name of andrew johnathon harper, eager to change the world any way he could, founded harper's asylum on victoria island in northern canada. at the time the thought had been that the secluded location would prove helpful to what his goal had been. that being to heal the minds of the criminally and not so criminally insane population of america and canada. at first the operation was looked down on by andrew's father, a wealthy gold mining entrepreneur living in the western united states. but when harper's first flow of sketchy patients came and went in the short span of a little over a year attitudes toward the hospital changed.
in a few short years andrew harper became one of the most famous and well known mental illness doctors in the western hemisphere. not only did he cater to the needs of the wealthy but any other applicant with some sort of income and a mentally ill loved one. the asylum was a success. far from morbid and several steps up from the fabled prison-like mental hospitals that seemed to be increasingly abandoned all across america. and when the time came for harper to retire, his son, who had been wildly active in his father's hospital, took over. after that the legacy continued generation after generation. if anything the success of the asylum had increased, the health of the patients becoming a more imminent possibility as time wore on.
that is... until about ten years ago. harper's latest descendant—johnathon harper—has now taken charge of the asylum. but something is different, something has changed. because in the last ten years... not a single patient that has entered the asylum... has left. this doesn't stop the constant flow of patients from around the world. but it is more than obvious that something is happening behind harper's walls. is the new owner of the most prestigious insane asylum in the western hemisphere simply not meant for the job? or is there a more dark and sinister answer to the question? one that perhaps... led to the demise of so many now abandoned asylums over the years? no one can know for sure. no one but harper's patients themselves. but how can we find out for sure? once a patient enters harper's asylum... they aren't getting out.
